The E310 has many of the capabilities you'll find in more expensive media center PCs. The 2.8-GHz Pentium 4 521 processor supplies adequate muscle for light multimedia use. True, there's no TV tuner in the base configuration, but a $100 upgrade gets you one with a remote. A dual-layer DVD writer, 13-in-1 card reader, and Dell 2.1 (stereo with a subwoofer) speakers round out the multimedia hardware. The bundle we tested also came with a decent 17-inch LCD monitor.
2 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD, WINDOWS XP PRO 32 BIT, INTEL PENTIUM 4 2.80 GHZ (2 THREADS), CDRW/DVD-ROM DRIVE. Sale is for the desktop and power cord.
